Great News! Between Nov. 30th and Dec. 4th, DonorsChoose will be DOUBLING all donations in Baltimore! Just use the special code that I'll give you... next week.
So what do we do in the meantime? I'll keep on growing, keep on asking, and keep on keepin' on.
What am I asking of you... If you are contemplating in giving I ask that you please hold back your wonderful giving hearts for just one week. This way we can maximize your contribution by having it matched by our host organization DonorsChoose. So, next week, on November 30, 2011 please visit my giving page and help at:
www.donorschoose.org/ronstache. Please pick the project that you like the most (or choose the "Give To The Most Urgent Project" and Donor's Choose will make that choice for you), and then donate what you can. ANY amount is greatly appreciated!!!
While I can't exactly say why DonorsChoose has chosen our group and the City of Baltimore to match contributions I can assume it is because Baltimore schools really need the help. As I'm sure you are aware, Baltimore education is under-funded, classrooms are over-crowded, and teachers don't have the basic educational materials and support that they need. Supporting the 'stache is a simple and immediate way for you to help out. For the last three years Baltimore Growers has raised money for innovative classroom projects (and for basic needed materials, supplies and books) in local, low-income Baltimore public schools.
And if you're in the Charm City Baltimore Area, please put the December 3rd 'Stache Bash on your calendars. It's like the Miss America Pageant, but with mustaches. Not to be missed. For more information and fun facts about Mustaches for Kids Baltimore, please visit our webpage at:

Dear Friends,
I am now two weeks in to growing the most hideous, crazy, and fuzzy mustache for charity. Why am I subjecting myself to ridicule? I am growing a mustache to support schools in Baltimore, MD. In order to justify this endeavor I need your support. I am asking you to sponsor my 'stache by making a contribution of any amount to DonorsChoose.org, an online charity where public school teachers post their classroom needs.
You can help by visiting the following website and contributing to the cause. www.donorschoose.org/ronstache
I pasted below a couple of pictures of this stache in all it's glory. Ladies and gentlmen, this upper lip caterpillar is huge only after 19 days of growth. I still have two weeks left to grow, cultivate, and fertilize this 1978 throwback. Maybe, just maybe, this caterpillar will morph in to a huge butterfly and fly off of my upper lip. One can only dream.
Thank you for your support of this 'stache-ly endeavor.
Ron
